There is a famous saying which perfectly describes Integrity, 'Honesty is telling the truth to other people Integrity is telling the truth to myself.' The word "Integrity, is telling the truth to myself". The word 'Integrity itself hasa Latin origin. It is derived from the word "Integer" and means to feel whole. This essential means that a person who is truthful, fair, honest and upright and most of all consistent, is said to posses high intergrity
We think that if a person can be trusted with money, only then he has high personal Integrity. The reality however is, that personal Integrity has much deeper dimension. Integrity means our continued commitment to our life. Our profession and all aspects of life in general translated to professional life, Integrity will mean. If I'm am politician, am I thinking of my country first? If I'm a doctor, am I thinking of my patients before anything else? And if I'm a city planner, am I commited to do the best planning for my city ? A person with high Integrity is fair in his dealings with others. Integrity is the care quality of a successful and happy life. Having integrity means being totally honest and truthful in every part of your life. By making the commitment of become a totally honest person, you will be doing more to ensure your success and happiness in life than anything else you can every do.
To be totally honest with others, you first have to be totally honest with yourself. You have to be true to yourself. You've to be true to the very best that is in you. Only a person who is consistently living a life with the highest values and virtues is a person truly living a life of integrity. If you are always honest and true to yourself you cannot be false to anyone else.

The people who come to mind that best reflect the quality of integrity like Jesus. My father. Abraham Lincoln, Mother Teresa etc. One of the common threads between these people is that each was genuinely concerned about the betterment of others. The critics of each might not agree, but in my mind, the integrity of their commitments to regard others as more important than themselves sets them a part. Mother Teresa has been quoted as saying, "Alife not lived for others is not a life."
"Real integrity is doing the right thing, knowing that nobody is going to know whether you did it or not. If we live consciously only then we can walk our talk and earth someone's trust." That's that 'Integrity a way of life.'
