Winter is the coldest season. It begins in November and lasts until the end of March. The coldest months of this season are December and January. It is a very dry and pleasant season. High speed of cold wind blows from the North side. The wind becomes very cold and sizzling. The air is very cool and fresh. During the winter season the days become very short and nights become very long. The days in winter start with fog and frost all around. The rain dew drops in the night. Dew drops in grass looks like a pearl. We wear woolen clothes like shawls, caps, jackets, gloves, sweaters to keep our body warm. We use woolen blankets and rugs. People like to eat hot coffee, tea, soup and eat hot food. Some people use room heaters to maintain room temperature. This season is very important for farmers. At this time farmers reap their rice and grow so many crops, fruits and vegetables. It is the season of green leafy vegetables and healthy fruits like guava, chikoo, cauliflower, carrot, radish, beetroot etc. Flowers of different colors bloom when the sun rises and give the environment a new look. The sky remains bright and clear. People enjoy under the sun as it makes them feel comfortable. It is very difficult to come out at night in winter. It is hard weather for poor people. Birds, animals and homeless people die due to the harsh winters. In winter trees are covered with white ice. The hilly areas are also covered with a thick layer of white snow. It looks very beautiful. This season helps us to stay healthy and fit. In winter, there is peace in the entire environment. People like to walk in the morning because they get some fresh air.
